Sure Pilates is all about the core- but it’s also about the Pelvic floor- which is the muscle group directly responsible for orgasms.  Read on to find out more fascinating and feisty fitness tips about your favorite mind body exercise modality.

1.  Stronger hips back core and thighs

means more push push in the bush. 

 Does he she or they /them like it harder?  Are you spent after a thrust or two? This is one time being weak in the knees is not scoring you many points.  And if you're lacking in the thrusting muscles- you’ll certainly be lacking in this department.  

Suggested moves: Bridges and Glute work on the mat can help with this.  But I highly recommend Pilates Chair workouts to build the strength you need to get em to buss it….

2. More flexibility and mobility

makes for more adventurous positioning. 

And perhaps more adventurous and/or small places to try said adventurous positions. Just abide by all local laws…. Keep in mind Pilates is dynamic flexibility work where we are actively strengthening our joints in the lengthened position- not just lie there all floppy.  You’ll be able to keep that stretch and stay har- I mean engaged though your core.

Suggested Moves: Get your ass to a reformer class and ask for feet in the straps…..or spring for a fancy Cadillac with some leg spring action.

3.  Increased Libido

from the increased blood flow to the pelvic area. 

The rush of blood will certainly help you get reacquainted with your loins. A study on 34 premenopausal Turkish women, 20 to 50 years old, was published in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy. Researchers found that there was increased sexual activity among the subjects after only 12 weeks of pilates training. Add in the endorphin and dopamine increases- and you have a feel good cocktail that should put you in the mood for just about anything!

Suggested Moves: Roll Up, Series of 5 on the Mat.  Thigh Stretch on Mat or reformer.  Leg Springs on the Cadillac or Springboard will get that flow on!

4.  Increased Sensation


Pilates is also mind body exercise and you’re working on your control of your pelvic floor area- it can lead to increased sensation as well.  Add in how much you’re learning to coordinate your mind and body together- and its a symphony for nerve ending seduction

Suggested Moves Swimming on the Mat- Swan on the Barrel or the Chair will have you feeling swanky and lifting into that pelvic floor.

5. Better posture leads to more confidence.

Or at least can make you appear that way.

Are you freezing in Alaska & just broke up with your partner?  Do pilates then put on a tight outfit. Lie and say you’re having a hot girl summer.   If you’re standing tall EVERYONE will believe you - trust me it’s better than drowning your sorrows & drunk dialing your ex.  No one has ever regretted working on the core strength, drink dialing is a whole other story.  Confidence is Key

Suggested moves:  Standing Arms, Footwork on the Chair, Kneeling Side Arms on Reformer all help you stand tall.

6.  Increased endurance

means you last longer.

Cause no one likes a two minute man. (Or woman. Or two minute emby…). In Pilates we are working low level endurance.  The constant change of exercises and flowing movement will keep your endurance level at a nice pace.  For even further results make sure youre adding in some cardio most days.  

Suggested moves:  Pilates HIIT- Plank Mountain climbers, Plie Squat jumps will build the heat you need….

7.  Increased Concentration Skills

may lead to intensified climaxes.  

I mean ya gotta focus.  Focus is what you need to keep your core engaged, spine long and eyes fixed as you do one thing with your lower limbs and another thing with your upper limbs.  Were real strict about form in live classes so learning to hone in on what’s going on in your body- can make you more in tune for other physical activated. 

Suggested Moves- Kneeling Side Kicks, Plank or Lunge type moves on the reformer, Going up on the Chair require the intense focus needed to hit the high notes.
