These days it seems everyone needs help with their mental health from time to time .. it was just recently we had royalty confessing to not being able to get the proper care they needed.

Even if you never experience a dip in mental health- it’s important to know the signs for when a menatl health check in is needed.

Perhaps a loved one or co worker seems to have changed.

Maybe you can’t quite place your finger on it but you know it’s been a tough few years for EVERYBODY.

Learning the signs of when to ask for mental health help is crucial to getting people the treatment they need. Trust your instincts if you feel things are off. Pay attention to how you’re feeling..

Are you very confused constantly?

Do you get irrational easily? Is someone seeming extra lonely? Self esteem just gone?

A lot of people have trouble with anxiety, and in truth it is just one of those things that are going to happen for everyone from time to time.

But if your anxiety is getting to a point where you feel it might be excessive, then that is something that you will want to be aware of, so you can take action as appropriate. If you notice you are overly concerned about being a burden to others, overly concerned about the future or suddenly worried about being trapped- then it may be a good idea to seek some sort of treatment.

Pay attention to behavior

Are you suddenly isolating yourself from everyone- even if quarantine is over?

Do you or they have a lot of mood swings? has your online persona changed? Pay attention to those times when you are withdrawing from the social settings around you.

Have you or they lost interest in things that used to bring you lots of joy? What about appearance? if you went from someone who was always all done up- to someone who never even puts on lip gloss- in a heartbeat and for days on end- it may be time to ask if they’re ok

Reckless behavior like sexally or driving and of cours substances. Addiction is a disease- not some sort of weakness-and should be treated accordingly. Sometimes it’s about finding the right mental health treatment center or other counseling help as necessary to help keep you on track.

Have you or a loved one found it impossible to concentrate?

What about sleeping? Changes in sleeping patterns that are sudden, pronounced or unexpected can be a clear sign that you might be in need of some help.

Pay attention to life events and circumstances

If you are someone you know and care about is also experiencing life stuff like relationship financial or health stuff- it may be beneficial to seek some support.

Grief from loss and a constant stream of stress can really compound things.
